Hi Jonathan
Great tone!
Do you have the Gt-8 parameters used for this video?
I will be looking to apply the settings to my Gt-001
For some reason in addition to the Lukather vibe, this also SCREAMS Jack Thammarat
Another one which is a must.. soon will my youtube be like only Jona Burgos covers:)
Fantastic tone and playing. Must admit too, that this one sounds like a level 6 or maybe even 7.

Beautiful Jonathan - Luke lessons at GMC simply hold very high standards!
PS Don't miss Muris' Steve Lukather lesson.
Hello GMC! We meet again to further expand our knowledge in the world of guitar! Today we will be analyzing a pioneer of modern guitar (one of my favorites), we are talking about Steve Lukather, guitarist for the legendary band TOTO, famous for his romantic songs with impressive guitar solos, with a contemporary sound but in the decade of the '70s. We can say that Lukather and Van Halen were the first modern sounding guitar virtuosos who became an inspiration to guitarists who followed.
TOTO went on to burn 19 discs.
Some of the most popular songs are TOTO "Africa", "99", "Hold the Line," "Rosanna," "Stop Loving You", "Pamela", "I will not hold you back", "I'll Be over You "," Goergy Porgy, "" I'll Supply the Love ".
Also, Steve has participated in hundreds of disks. Nowadays he continues with his solo career and has already recorded 8 albums. Besides being an impressive guitarist, He is one of the singers that I like the most. On the album "Tambu" TOTO, Steve is the one who sings.
In this lesson I use a sound with a good gain (mesa boogie preamp simulator and a gain similar to that of an OD-2), compressor, lengthy delay and a lot of reverb so as to create an important sustain to achieve a sound like this guitarist uses
Chords:
F # m - D - E - F # m
D - Bm - G - D / F # - Em - A
Techniques:
Legato
Palm Muting
Alternate Picking
Bending
Vibrato
Tapping
Slide
Scales:
F # Minor Scale + blue note
(Keep in mind that Minor Scale and Minor Pentatonic, share some notes. In conclusion, the act of not playing certain notes of the Minor Scale, makes it possible for us to get that bluesy sounding rock, specifically because we would be using the pentatonic scale).
Now, to work my friends!
