Sergio,
I like the chords progression.
What chords did you use? And did you use a looping device as a backing to solo over?
I also like the solo very much, great piece of music.
This is a very cool melodic solo, sounds great!
Lovely chord progression and tone Sergio!
Hi! Nice to see you again. Today we are going to play a ballad with the electric guitar. The theme presents an intro of arpeggios and after that some licks with a distortion sound.
One of the important things in this kind of pieces is sound. If you had Line 6 devices you can copy the exact sound that I have used but if not, it is important that you spend the time to configure a preset (in this case, two presets) that can inspire you, with your own gear. I think this is a very subjective taste, so the most important thing is that the final sound can inspire you. These ballads are a moment for expression, for introspection, and is very difficult to play in this way if the sound is not good. But here in GMC there are some great ballads, and if you have studied any of them and have create an specific preset, I´m sure you can make use of it for this lesson.
Technically, this is not a difficult piece. There are some slides, bends and change of positions. Pay attention to tempo and also to pick in the clean arpeggios.
This is the preset that I´ve used in Line 6 Pod X3 Live
For clean sound:
No amp
No cabinet
Sine Chorus Depth: 30 Mix: 50
Comp Threshold: 45 Gain: 85
Digital Delay 80 eight note Feedback: 60 Mix: 29
Brite Room Reverb Mix:40
For Solo:
Line 6 insane amp model and 4x12 1968 25s cabinet
On axis mic 40%
Ping pong delay 80 eigth dot fx tempo. Feedback: 39 Mix:35
Dark Hall Reverb Mix: 40
I hope you enjoy this lesson!
